The David Dilemma

  • The David Dilemma is an activity set designed to explore questions about aesthetics and the relative value of art.

The player is asked to decide between saving the life of a stranger or preventing the destruction of an important work of art (in this case Michelangelo’s David).

    Components:

    • Statuette of Michelangelo’s David

    • Statuette of a nondescript man

    • Base reading ‘You can only save one’.

      • Base features niches for both statuettes, along with an empty niche into which the player can transfer the statuette they choose to ‘save’.

    • 3D printer and filament

  • Eli Shupe

Which would you save from destruction: a priceless work of art or a human being?
